Job title: Senior Assistant, GBIC Executive Office

Job description: Performs a variety of highly responsible, confidential and complex secretarial and administrative duties for the GBIC Executive Office. The incumbent acts as a liaison between the GBIC research fellows, partner agencies and the general public, and attend meetings, prepare minutes and reports, maintains confidential and sensitive information.

Detailed description:

  • Assist in organizing and coordinating GBIC events
  • Manage GBIC online platforms, including GBIC website, WeChat accounts, Twitter, Facebook etc.
  • Act as the liaison person responsible for connecting and communicating with the media, GBIC partners and the general public.
  • Draft meeting agendas, attend meetings and write meeting memos, reports and the other related documents.
  • Provide assistance and support for various GBIC programs, projects and initiatives.
  • Produce weekly essay monthly newsletter

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Willingness to take the initiative
  • Bachelor degree or above required
  • Excellent writing skills in both English and Chinese
  • A professional appearance, combined with outstanding interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • 3+ years of experience in a professional support role
  • Strong project management skills coupled with the ability to work creatively, efficiently, and independently to produce high-quality results
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office applications; some basic or intermediate knowledge of the Social Media is preferred
